The Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo is a state-of-the-art performance facility located on the beautiful Central Coast of California at the campus of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). Open since September of 1996, the Performing Arts Center incorporates two main venues: the Christopher Cohan Center, including the majestic 1,289-seat Sidney Harman Hall, the 180-seat classroom Philips Hall, and the multi-purpose Pavilion that holds various capacities up to 400 people; and the 498-seat Alex & Faye Spanos Theatre.

Chumash Auditorium

Located on the second floor of the Julian A. McPhee University Union, Chumash Auditorium is home to numerous career fairs, guest speakers, dinner parties and dances. An in-house audio visual technician is available to assist with lighting and sound for all types of events.

The auditorium has a maximum occupancy of 996, and is 9,228 square feet in size. The auditorium can be divided into three sections to provide for a few small events happening simultaneously or it can be left open to create one large venue. The maximum occupancy of each wing is 174 and the center is 648.

Business Rotunda

The Business Rotunda, with a seating capacity of of 230, is equipped with fixed desktop controller, data/video projector, DVD/VCR/CD player, PC computer, Mac computer and projection screen.

This auditorium also includes portable wireless, wired microphone and wired network connection.
