Tammy Farrell
Senior Accounting Analyst
Tammy Farrell supervises the daily operations of all accounting functions for Conference and Event Planning. She has been with the Cal Poly Corporation since 1988, holding various accounting roles with the University Store. She started as a cash accountability clerk and advanced to senior accounting analyst, overseeing all accounting and financial reporting duties for the bookstore and satellite operations. In this role Tammy also worked with the store director and department managers to develop and coordinate the store’s annual operating budgets.
Scott Homolka
Senior Conference and Event Coordinator
Scott has worked in the hospitality, entertainment and event planning industries across California for more than 20 years. Prior to his role with Cal Poly Conference & Event Planning, he was Assistant General Manager at a local 130 room hotel in Pismo Beach. Previously, he managed a variety of special events at Santa Clara University, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin and Heavenly Mountain Resort in South Lake Tahoe.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Marketing with a minor in Communication from Santa Clara University.
Carol Ertani
Conference and Event Coordinator
Carol comes to the Central Coast from Milan, Italy. She has worked in the event planning industry in Italy for several years. Prior to her role with Cal Poly Conference & Event Planning, she planned weddings, private parties, fashion events and corporate events internationally. She managed a variety of special events and conferences throughout Italy that were held in some of the most prestigious locations of the Lombardy region. She received a Bachelors from the oldest University in the world, Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna, in Disciplines of Arts, Fashion and Entertainment.
Lynda Mantle
Conference & Event Coordinator
Lynda comes to Cal Poly Conference & Event Planning from the Orfalea College of Business, where she served as the donor relations coordinator. Prior to her time in San Luis Obispo, she worked in the Bay Area in various hospitality fields including front office, sales, and event management. She both managed and assisted in events ranging from professional & collegiate sports, tech conferences, and weddings. She also volunteered for the Sharks Foundation as a member of the Young Professionals Board. Lynda received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Marketing from the University of San Diego.
